I am editing this from a 5-star to a 1-star after my experience with this shop. Do not bring your vehicle to this shop. They will scare you into thinking your vehicle is dangerous to drive to push you to pay their bloated prices. Don't fall for it. Twice this shop blew issues way out of proportion in order to upsell the repairs. Told me my entire brake system was screwed when all it needed was a couple fluid lines replaced. They quoted $1700 and the actual necessary repair was $520 at a shop that didn't try to tack on unnecessary repairs to pad their bottom line. I went to them for a diagnostic for a check engine light which I already knew was for a vapor/evap leak. The second issue was a noise from the right front wheel area. They diagnosed the first issue and then did not diagnose the second issue. They then told me that I had a laundry list of other issues which would total over $5000 in repairs if I let them handle it and tried to scare me that my vehicle was unsalvageable due to rust. Took it to a rust specialist who said the rust is superficial and can be prevented from progressing with an undercoating. They tried to argue that I declined the diagnostic for the brakes which wasn't true at all, I declined their exorbitant repair prices and took it to other shops where I paid literally 1/3 for the two whole repairs it actually needed. $1650 out of my pocket instead of the $5k Smith wanted for the biggest issues.

First time here. Been looking around for a new mechanic since I recently moved to this area. I've had some bad luck with mechanics so when I say I really like this place just know, I mean it. But what I truly appreciated was their thorough look over of my vehicle, the photos and feedback system they use, loaner car option, and the knowledgeable feedback. Unfortunately I didn't get great news but that's not on them, however I can appreciate the fact they were great in there delivery of said bad news, empathetic and transparent. So definitely would recommend this place to anyone close to me needing a good car shop.

I have nothing, but good words to say about the service and friendliness of Smith Automotive. I had a brake light that was showing up on the dashboard. They found what was wrong and got it repaired. A nice perk about this place is that if a person doesn't have a ride to and from the service shop, someone there will gladly transport back and forth.
